NATIONAL DONUT DAY

Yes, it's real. Even wiki says so :)
So although Amethyst and I were a day late...we obviously still had to celebrate....

We ate them ALL.....mmhmm

First Friday

Our LA excursion for this weekend was the one and only first friday. Every first friday of the month in Venice, CA lies a treasure for anyone remotely interested in music, art, food, clothes.....So basically everybody. Fortunately, we are enthusiasts of all of the above.

Intelligentsia Coffee & Tea was obviously our first stop

Finest cappuccino in the 310

From there we found a boutique that had the most adorable little magnets that shared the same view as Amethyst!............no really.

Last but not least is some street art :)

We hope that next month you check out first friday on Abbot Kinney!

Phil's!

June 2, 2011, was a day long anticipated. You wonder why....Well, I will tell you...IT WAS AMETHYST'S LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! Obviously this called for some celebration. And after a sweet text from Jewel saying that she was going to take me out on a date we decided a pedicure was only necessary. We got our aroma, pedicures, shallow-and-gossipy-magazines, and finally met up with our friends (yes...we actually have friends) at the brand new Phil's Diner in the NoHo Arts District.

Here it is! So basically it's the cutest diner I've ever been to and it's right in North Hollywood

Chocolate milkshakes were the best!
Sort of looks like a train inside

We highly recommend this little place and we were so happy
that Melinda and Danielle could join us!

Alyssa made me make these at 12:36am last night. Today I ate 11 of them. Now I feel sick. I hate her.

LA's Battle of the Donuts

For all of you who don't know....Alyssa and I have a SERIOUS donut problem. Our newest goal is to go to all of these donut stops and finding the best donut in Los Angeles.
We'll keep you updated;)

groovy

A few months ago, Jewel and I were watching That 70's show and on the particular episode we watched there happen to be a roller disco :

Then we had an idea...We needed to find our own roller disco! And the search was on. After about 2 months we finally made it to World on Wheels in Mid-City, Los Angeles. It was a little difficult and totally sketchy to get there but definitely worth it!

I also might add that we did NOT go out and buy matching outfits. We just so happened to have the same shorts and shirt. Seriously.

We even took a video for y'all :)

So after a successful night of roller disco we thought it was only proper to go to Mel's Diner on Sunset. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, our matching "disco" outfits caused quite the stir. Particularly because it was about three in the morning and the majority of the people in there were drunk.

HOORAY FOR CHOCOLATE MILKSHAKES!

We expect to see you all at roller disco next month;)

Gluttony

Hello! Well tonight we semi conquered the town of Westwood...Because we were in some serious need of Diddy Riese.

It kind of was a fatty adventure :(

And then after some walking around, talking to strangers, avoiding the homeless man who was playing the xylophone we had taco hell nachos. Seriously. We're fatties. Can't help it.

Catching you up on our previous adventures...

One Sunday Alyssa and I thought it would be a good idea to take the metro downtown...After getting lost we ended up in Pershing Square where once a year they hold national pillow fight day. We were lucky enough to find the remnants of it...
Knee deep in goosedown...

After that we decided it was only natural to sneak on top of the Biltmore Hotel. It was a mission.

Best view in LA:

Then we were hungry. Luckily enough we had our trusty iPhones to get us to the nearest diner. Todays diner was called Nickel Diner. Totally sketch from the outside, but fabulous once you get inside.

...It was a whorehouse in the thirties...

Aaaaand Annie had to bring her own syrup for her french toast....freakazoid.

So you think this was great?...Well this isn't even the best part of our day yet. After finally making it back to the metro (after a quick stop at the bench from 500 days of summer) we got on and met a rather....interesting man. He approached us, telling us first how beautiful we looked...and then proceeded to tell us that he was Jesus. This poor guy got down on his knees, arms spread and said "I died for you my children! The Holy Ghost is love! I am the prophet Jesus! You are beautiful! I see a Scottish, wealthy man in your future! I DIED FOR YOU!!!"

I (Annie) am trying my very best to hold it together...then Alyssa (retard) leans over and says "Are we on candid camera???? Where's Ashton??"
Needless to say I lost it.

After talking to this very lost psychopath and spending about 3 hours getting lost underneath the city of angels we FINALLY made it home. Safe and sound...surprisingly.

XOXO
